Many Americans have lost the ability to pay their debts.  They may have been evicted from their apartments, or their homes have been foreclosed, and the debtor has provided no forwarding address.  The creditor must first locate the debtor in order to collect monies owed, which can be a difficult and time consuming task, often with no results or inaccurate information.  This is particularly true if the debtor has a common name or has provided the creditor with a false date of birth and/or Social Security number.  Eventually, the creditor will turn the case over to a collection agency or seek legal counsel in order to collect what is owed him or her.  Both of these professionals need accurate information on the debtor in order to start the collection process.  The creditor's attorney must have this information before he or she can file legal process to have the debtor served with these  documents.  Missing/Located allows the creditor, the collection professional, and the attorney the means to locate the debtor in a professional and confidential manner. Naturally we comply with all FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPPA regulations.
